Sheffield Wednesday WFC came back from the capital a point better off after a 1-1 draw against Luton Town WFC.
But it could have been a different story with the Owls creating chance after chance but they just couldn't see the game through.
Tanya Rich put the Owls in the lead In the 3rd minute showing great composure to beat the stranded Luton Keeper. But Luton it back mid way through the first half with a superb individual effort lobbing keeping Danni Maslin. This turned out to be their one and only shot on target.
Both teams had the chance to win the game through a penalty each. But on both occasions the spot - kickers went to the keepers right, but dragged it far wide.
Manager Liam Kelly was disappointed but could see positives from the game. "Sometimes it's not your day, we defended well, passed the ball round well, created a million chances, but we just didn't have that bit of edge in front of goal. I think everyone feels deflated, but looking at the bigger picture we've picked up 5 points in our last four games. And as much as we'd like that to be more come the end of the season 5 points is an awful lot. We've four games and 12 points to play for, there will be a lot of twist and turns in the next few weeks, we just need to make sure we stay positive, show that killer instinct in front of goal and learn to carve out victories very quickly"
